waxing
Ombu Salon + Spa offers both hard and strip waxing techniques.
Hard wax is applied in a thicker form and without strips. This application is ideal for sensitive skin.
Strip waxing can be used for larger areas, such as legs, arms, back, chest and shoulders. A thin layer of wax is applied to the skin and is then removed using a cloth strip.
sugaring
Ombu Salon + Spa offers sugaring, a form of hair removal which uses an all natural product made from sugar, water and lemon juice to remove the hair follicle. The results can last up to 6 weeks. Sugaring services are 100% biodegradable and residue can easily be removed with soap and water. Unlike hot wax, sugar paste does not stick to your skin, but clings to each hair individually, which results in less pain than traditional waxing. Sugaring is a great option for sensitive skin as the sugar is kept at body temperature, so there is less chance of skin irritation and redness. Plus, over time, hair will become finer, softer and easier to remove. Sugaring is offered for hair removal from the face and underarms.
tips for your waxing or sugaring appointment
We want to make your experience as painless as possible. Therefore, we offer these tips:
- Do not sunbathe 48 hours prior to your appointment.
- Come freshly showered + free of all oils + lotions.
- Gently exfoliate your skin prior to your appointment.
- Wear loose clothing.
- Let your esthetician know if you are using any medications for acne or anti-aging.
