Stephanie has been doing hair since 2005. She graduated from the esteemed Gene Juarez Academy in Seattle, Washington. She has continued her training and education beyond state and local requirements through advanced cutting classes, multiple advanced color training courses, and training in updo/special occasion styling.
“I am very passionate about hair and I believe in continual education,” she says.
Stephanie strives to stay at the forefront of the field with her knowledge of new products and services available in order to provide excellent service to her clientele.
Stephanie is certified in the Curly Girl method from DevaCurl in which she cuts curls dry, working with the natural curl pattern to create a flattering and attractive shape. She then follows with cleansing and hydration, offering hair detoxes and moisture treatments where appropriate. This is followed by a styling lesson where she gives expert product advice while teaching guests how to achieve great results at home.

julee | stylist
Julee started her career in West Hollywood at the New London Hotel around 35 years ago under the direction of Alex Roldan, where she worked for 10 years perfecting her style through infomercials and working with MTV on various music videos. She then moved back to Washington to be closer to family in 1994.
She brought her experience to a high end salon in Magnolia where she worked for 15 years. She then bought the salon in 2009 and was a successful owner/operator until selling it in July of 2018. And now Julee is excited to work closer to home, part time for Ombu Salon + Spa and continue doing what she loves to do and bring her experience to this already great team.

mary | stylist
Mary has lived in Edmonds her entire life. Before joining the Ombu team, she worked at California Concepts for 26 years. She really enjoys her job and loves to pamper her clients. Mary really loves her dogs, German Shorthair Pointers. She enjoys taking walks in town and being outside. Her hobbies include gardening, baking and rearranging her home decor (multiple pillows play a special role.) Mary has a soft spot for her son and husband.

lisa | stylist
Prior to joining the Ombu Team, Lisa began her styling career at California Concept. She worked there for 33 years before the salon closed their doors. Lisa has always lived in the Edmonds area.
Outside of the salon, Lisa enjoys walking her adopted Golden Retriever, Cody. She also really enjoys playing golf and can be found at her favorite local course in Lynnwood. Her husband taught Lisa and her mom to play the sport.

Sarah has been working with hair since 2004. She has been a master hair stylist and color specialist at a local salon for the last 17 years. She specializes in updos for all your special occasions.
"I love making my clients look and feel their best," Sarah says.
When she is not working in the salon, she's spending time with her young son going on walks, small hikes, and playing in parks.

Sarah was drawn to hair and style at an early age. She began by giving herself and her friends haircuts in the 7th grade. She continued to do so all the way up until she finally made it official and attended the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute. She graduated in 2005.
She is passionate about working with hairs' natural texture and works to intuitively create soft, lived-in hairstyles. She uses a combination of dry cutting, wet cutting, scissors and razors to help the hair effortlessly be hand-styled and air-dried or diffused. She welcomes curly, wavy, and straight-haired clients. Sarah begins each haircut with a thorough consultation to get to know your hair, lifestyle and vibe. Please don’t hesitate to ask for a silent appointment to allow for some quiet time to sit and enjoy your pampering.
Sarah is also a Reiki Master and Sound Healer and looks forward to possibly incorporating these healing modalities into her haircuts. When Sarah is not in the salon she loves hanging out with her son and daughter, hiking, gardening, cooking, and being in nature with her husband.

cynthia | esthetician
In 2004 Cynthia graduated from the Euro Institute of Swiss Skin Care. This premier esthetics school’s approach to skincare is organic and holistic which has shaped the foundation of Cynthia’s esthetics career.
Cynthia takes a healthy, no-nonsense approach to skin care. The use of Eminence Organics, a high- quality, effective product line allows her to follow her belief that your home skin care routine doesn’t have to be time-consuming, just a simple and healthy part of your daily routine.
“Your skin is the largest organ of your body that takes in nutrients and expels toxins and my job is to give my clients the knowledge, skills and products to keep that skin healthy. It is a fun and satisfying part of my day to give my clients new ideas and suggestions that may just make their day a little easier and make their skin a little healthier.”
Cynthia brings microdermabrasion, micro-current, and dermaplaning to Ombu Salon + Spa.

Jill has been in the skincare and beauty industry for over 25 years. She hails from NYC where she spent a decade as a makeup artist for CNN. Jill received her training from Lia Schorr in NYC. She moved to Edmonds Washington in 2012 and has worked as an esthetician in both Kirkland and Everett. She is very happy to now be close to home and working with Eminence organic skincare, which she loves! Jill likes to help people change and maintain the condition of their skin through education, customized facials and recommendations for a good home regime.
Jill loves the results of peels, dermaplaning and microdermabrasion. She also finds high frequency to have great results for acne. Jill prides herself in pampering her clients. She gives a great facial, neck and decollete massage focused on helping with circulation and lymphatic drainage.
Being a makeup artist as well, she is a perfectionist when it come to brows.

marina | esthetician
Originally from Moscow, Russia, Marina has been in the beauty and skin industry for over 25 years. Marina joined the team at Spa Nordstrom at the flagship store opening day in 1998 as one of the lead Master Estheticians. She helped lead the spa for 22 years. Marina was known at Spa Nordstrom as the brow queen, which stems from her perfectionist and detail oriented qualities.
After commuting to Seattle for many years, Marina moved to Lynnwood to be closer to her kids and grandkids.
Marina’s medical background helps her focus fully on the individual needs of people, catering to their specific skin type and home regime. She loves to teach and educate people about their skin and help them shine and embrace the confidence of their beauty.
Marina is thrilled to offer clients at Ombu Salon + Spa a unique experience, pampering all senses during their service.

jess | esthetician
Jess has been in the beauty industry for 20 years. As a teen, she struggled with her skin and really wanted to learn how to help herself, along with others. After she graduated from the Euro Institute in 2002, she opened shop as a solo esthetician in Edmonds. Five years into her esthetics journey, she realized her true passion was body waxing.
As a body waxer, Jess’s goal is to make every woman feel beautiful in her own skin. She wants to make sure everyone feels comfortable to get waxed and will make you laugh while it is happening. She loves to educate clients on before and after-care and to help maintain the integrity of your skin. She has also been on a five-year quest to find the best waxing products. You will love what she has found! This industry is always evolving, she finds it important to keep learning.
Jess also has a passion for brows. She loves helping clients learn to achieve the fuller look with brow lamination. If you are looking for curled lashes, she also offers lash lifts. Add a tint to either of these services for eyes that pop!

emily | massage therapist
Emily wholeheartedly loves her calling for bodywork. A massage therapist for over fifteen years, Emily also brings to Ombu her professional, certified practices in reflexology, aromatherapy, meditation and yoga.
Emily understands how no one body is the same. In catering to individual needs, her approach is customary and compassionate. She considers her studio a sanctuary of restoration where clients are invited to reunite with their center through breath work. Emily loves to educate clients and if given the chance, will explain how reflexology, for example, can be a less invasive way to achieve the same results as massage.
North End Metro magazine describes Emily as having a deep knowledge of natural healing techniques, along with authentic care for her client’s well being. “Emily’s warmth is genuine, as is her gift in holistic care,” wrote reporter Alyssa Wolfe.
